THIS SUNDAY: When Life Hurts – Psalm 57
This Sunday we conclude our summer series, Praying Through the Psalms, and we’re ending where real life often takes us: lament.
There’s an old country song with the lyric, “Here’s a quarter, call someone who cares.” It’s a cutting line, and if we’re honest, many of us have wondered at some point whether God feels that way about our troubles. Psalm 57, one of David’s deeply personal laments, answers that question clearly: God wants up to bring our worries to Him.
This week we’ll read David’s words written in one of his darkest moments and discover what it looks like to bring our grief, our pain, and our unanswered questions honestly before God.
