Jan. 11, 2021:
Thanks to all those who connected to our Sunday live stream worship on January 10. Thanks to Angela (music), Amanda (live stream), and Ginger (flowers) for their service on Sunday. If you missed Sunday’s live stream, you can view it any time on the Walnut Hill Facebook page. We regret the internet problems that caused the service to be disconnected before the closing prayers. You can listen to an audio version of the scripture, sermon, and prayers for the day (including the prayers omitted from the live stream) on the Walnut Hill website, sermons page.
Thanks also to several children who joined us for a worship zoom on Sunday morning. It was great to see the children on-screen as we visited and worshiped together.
Virtual fellowship gatherings continue Wednesdays, 1pm. If you would like to participate, just let us know by reply email, and we will send the meeting details to you. If you have participated in a previous virtual fellowship gathering, you do not need to rsvp again, you will receive the meeting details automatically.
Youth (middle/high school) are invited to gather “virtually” this Sunday, January 17, 4pm via zoom. We’ll check in on how we all are doing in these early days of 2021 as well as talk about a possible “drive through” Soup-er Bowl on February 7. More details to come.
“Mask up” Signs are available to Members/Friends, without cost, for display at your home or business. As you know, “masking-up” is more important than ever right now. Use reply email to request a sign as we work together to beat Covid-19 in 2021!
Backpack Ministry – Walnut Hill has committed to support students/families at Brenda Cowan Elementary School through the Walnut Hill Backpack Ministry. As you might be aware, we are currently providing 50 backpacks per week for students. Visit Backpack Ministry for information on how you can be part of this important work through food donations and other support. You may bring food items to Walnut Hill on Saturday/Sunday mornings between 9am and Noon, or contact the church office to arrange a convenient pick-up or delivery time.
A Visit? Mike is available for in-person visits (with appropriate social distancing and face coverings) at your request. Use reply email or call the church office (859-263-5304) to schedule a visit.
Online/Text Giving – Online and text giving to Walnut Hill are now available for those who might prefer the convenience of electronic giving. You can access online giving via the “Give” tab of the Walnut Hill website and text giving via 859-354-3919. Whether by traditional check/cash or electronic donation, thanks to all who continue to be very generous in their support of Walnut Hill’s life and ministry.
Peace be with you.
